March 30 Update for Families

On behalf of the staff of St Basil I want you to know that we miss your children greatly! By now you should’ve received an email from your child’s teacher asking you to verify your email as that is will be our main form of communication. If you did not receive that email can you please contact me personally at lkuyper@bhncdsb.ca If you did receive it and have not yet responded, please do so as soon as possible.

This week you will receive a login and password for your child’s online access to learning as well as instructions on how to access Brightspace/D2L (our District online learning platform).

Please be kind to yourselves as you go through this with your children. This is new to all of us and we know you all have a lot on your plates. We are in the middle of a global pandemic and we don’t expect you to be running a classroom in your living room that replicates what we do at school everyday. The  most important thing is for you and your children to feel safe, healthy and loved and to be reminded that we are all connected.

At this time I would ask if you, or anyone you know, is in need of anything please contact me directly (lkuyper@bhncdsb.ca) I continue to hold all of you in my daily  thoughts and prayers.
