Collections of Caring Campaign

The Christ-centred mission of our Catholic schools contains a call to service in the greater community. As we enter the Liturgical season of Lent, we are naturally drawn to put our faith into action. As we Journey through Lent this year, we encourage you to help us answer this call in our school through our ‘Collections of Caring Campaign’. The caring collections of our School family offer invaluable support to our neighbours in need.

Jesus says, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” (Matthew 25:40). Through intentionally connecting our actions to our faith, our caring collections allow us the opportunity to help our children understand ‘why’ we do what we do.

Our Lenten Collection of Caring Campaign will be as follows as identified as greatest need from our local St Vincent de Paul Society:

Week 1 March 18 – 22: Kleenex and Toilet Paper

Week 2 March 25 – 29: Shampoo and Body Wash

Week 3 April 1-5: Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, and Floss

Week 4 April 8-12: Spaghetti Sauce and Pasta

Week 5 April 15- 18: Canned Fruit and Chunky Soups

If you prefer to make a cash donation to our local St Vincent De Paul Society you can do so via our school Cashonline.

“Catholic education forms communities of faith that help students experience the love of God. The more our students see and understand themselves as the beloved children of God, the more they will want to love God with all their hearts, minds and souls. This in turn moves them to love of neighbour which bears witness to justice and charity.”

(Renewing the Promise: A Pastoral Letter for Catholic Education, 2018, p. 10).

Thank you for supporting Catholic Education and our community.
